Rapid Covid, Strep and Flu test
We want to share some important information regarding Edmond Public Schools' efforts to slow the spread of Covid-19 and create a safer environment for our students and employees. EPS is excited to extend our partnership with Total Wellness (TW) to provide two new services; telehealth and rapid response Covid-19 testing for students whose parents or guardians elect to receive such services.
TW staff will work with students, and their parents, to conduct a telehealth visit with a telehealth Provider. If authorized by parents, testing can be conducted to rule out Covid, flu, or strep. If necessary for treatment, the TW Provider can call in a prescription to the pharmacy of your choice. Employees, as well, can visit the hub presenting ID and a health insurance card to receive services.
Free and Reduced lunches - Check out the incentive EPS is giving for filling out the application.
Completing a free/reduced lunch application now will ensure benefits will continue without interruption when the federal extension expires. Anyone who completes a free/reduced lunch application for this school year by midnight 9/30/20 will be included in a drawing for a free 50" smart TV. Any family who already submitted an application for this school year is already entered and does not need to fill out a second application to be registered in the drawing. Please use this link to complete your on-line application.

PTO NEWS
The new PTO board met on Friday and we will be kicking off a Check Writing Campaign for bottle fillers to replace the water fountains in the halls throughout the school. With Covid, bottle fillers are a must to ensure students are getting adequate water intake throughout the day. Drinking water throughout the day is proven to help kids work harder and make them smarter. There will be a flyer coming home with all the information this week. We will be having a contest to see which grade can raise the most money.
The PTO is also going to be selling Sunset t-shirts. You will receive an order form in your folder in the coming weeks.
There will be a PTO meeting for all parents and teachers the first part of October so watch your emails for a date and time. At this meeting we will be discussing and voting on spending some of the funds. This is a meeting you do not want to miss.
