April 2023 Madison Memo
April 2023
Principal's Message
Spring has finally arrived! The last trimester of school will be busy!
MCA tests will be given to students in Grades 3-5 in reading, math and science from April 18 - May 12. Classroom teachers have specific testing dates. Please make sure your child is in school for these tests as good attendance is a key factor for overall student success.
A Parent Input Form for student placement will be available in the office starting April 3. You may complete a form if you feel your child has a definite need which requires a particular teaching style. Parent input forms must be turned into the school office by Friday, April 28. Teacher requests are discouraged.
"Courage" is our word of the month for April. It is defined as "choosing what is helpful, right and kind - even when it is hard or scary." Can you think of a time when you did something that you knew was right, even if you were scared to do it?
Lastly, if you are moving, please call the Madison office at 763-506-3300 to give us your new address. This will help in our planning for the new school year.
Your principal,
Dorothy M. Olsen

Please complete your volunteer paperwork so you can be notified and stay up to date on all volunteer opportunities. April 16-22 is Volunteer Appreciation Week and we’d like to celebrate and thank all of our outstanding Madison volunteers!
