Lesson Planning-Don't forget to close!
Lesson Planning is at the heart of teaching an student centered objective driven lesson. Even though we are all super bright and have great memories, but we can't go on our memory when planning highly effective lessons, re-teach, or small group instruction. Even if you know what TEKS you will cover, objectives and skills, we must plan for the flow of the lesson and multiple, multiple other things that will impact how effective it is with your students. Below I found a great video that includes some tips on closing a lesson. Many times we think about all the things kids are doing to do to master a particular objective, but we forget to plan a strong opening and we definitely forget the closing as we are at times running out of time. Check out the video below and hopefully you walk away with some helpful tips!
