The State of Oklahoma has set the WIDA ACCESS testing window for January 14th-March 22nd. Having a stricter time schedule in our district, with more test like procedures, will be beneficial to all. The following information will outline WIDA Access dates etc. for Clinton Public Schools:

  • Kinder: One on One testing, baseline score for future growth, begins January 14th

  • Grades 2-4: Southwest has the largest number of EL students to be tested, will begin the week of February 18th

  • Grade 1 & 5-12: Will begin the week of February 25th

  • ALL testing should end on March 8th

  • EL classes will not meet during the district WIDA testing dates

  • EL assistants will help in the testing room during the two week period.

Effective Spring 2018 (last Spring): WIDA scores will be added into the district accountability score according to growth. The baseline data was taken from 2017 WIDA scores. (15 out of 90 points, 17% of school report card)

This means EL students are essentially counted twice on the district accountability score: WIDA and OSTP.

Thank you for being flexible!
