Getting Googly
I hope everyone enjoyed the breakout PD sessions on Monday. I wanted to give a quick shout out to our presenters....Michelle Million, Megan Hurt and Jessica Nicholson. They all did an amazing job and I'm proud they were representing us.
I was able to attend all of Jessica Nicholson's "Getting Googly" class. I highly encourage you to sit in on the tech trainings that she and Megan are holding. Some of the short cuts will help you stay organized, save time and benefit your students.
Here are just a few things I learned and wanted to share:
- Google Translate...under tools in google docs there is a "translate document" button
- Google Calendar... add box in left column which shows calendar ~Go to settings-labs-google calendar gadget-"enable"
- Slides carnival....beautiful power point templates
- Kahoot.it game....great interactive game where you can create the questions and students answer them on tablets.
