Signature Academy: 8th Grade Signing Night
At Murphy High School, we love celebrating our students. Last month, we welcomed our incoming Murphy University Center 9th grade students with an 8th Grade Signing Night Event. Over the course of two nights, students were welcomed by current Murphy staff and students to our campus. The band played and cheerleaders cheered as we welcomed our newest cubs to the Panther family. Students officially secured Murphy as their school of choice by receiving their official Murphy ball cap. We can't wait to continue to watch these students succeed!
Military Leadership Academy: Robotics Team
The Murphy Panthers came in second place last month as they competed in MCPSS VEX Robotics competition #4. We love encouraging our students to participate in STEM related activities!
Culinary Arts Academy: Heating Things Up
This month, our Culinary Arts Academy has been busy in the kitchen! A Mardi Gras celebration occurred with gumbo and treats, thanks to our PTSA, and students have been busy preparing weekly breakfast and lunch for teachers.
FCTC: Building Our Future
Lamaryon Harris is in the Cabinetmaking Program with our Faulkner Career Tech Academy. Students have been busy at Faulkner this semester. We see this hard work firsthand with Lamaryon cutting a 45 degree angle using a miter saw.
Fine Arts Academy: Footloose Spring Production
Our Fine Arts Academy has been practicing diligently to prepare for their spring production of the Broadway Musical Footloose! Students can't wait to take to the stage on Friday, April 30th and Saturday, May 1st at 7:00 PM to show off their hard work, along with singing and dancing skills! The production will take place at the Lois Jean Delaney Auditorium at Murphy High School. Tickets will be $10 at the door.
