Keno Elementary: Parent Newsletter
We are excited to have Keno students back in the hybrid model (A/B cohorts) on Monday, January 11th.
There are a few things we need to share to make this a successful return to school. Our number one goal is to have healthy students and staff. In order for this to happen we will follow all state and local guidelines. We need our entire Keno community to commit to this for our kids.
Face coverings- please send your children with a face covering. It is the expectation that every person that enters the Keno Elementary property will wear a face covering. Face coverings are to be worn inside as well as outside on recess. Face coverings are also required on the bus. If your child doesn’t have a face covering, one will be provided.
Materials- Please return all materials sent home in December with your student next week. This includes Chromebooks, special education boxes, and any other work.
Transportation- Face coverings are required on all buses and students must sit in their family cohort. We encourage parents to transport their students if they are able. This is the best way to keep cohorts smaller. Students are not able to ride with friends on a different bus for any reason. They must ride their assigned bus.
When to keep your child home-
(See chart below)
We appreciate everyone’s efforts to keep ALL students and staff safe at Keno. This is a team effort! We want students in school learning in-person. However, if your child is sick, please keep them home. Monitor symptoms and ask your health care professionals for advice.
