WEEKLY STAFF BULLETIN
March 30- April 3
WEEKLY STAFF BULLETIN
Good morning,
I hope you were able to take some time for yourself and your family over this last week. After the President's speech last night and the extension of social distancing until April 30th, it is not looking good for us to be returning in April. I will pray and hope for May 1st. On a brighter note there won't be any state testing this year.
Meanwhile, I realize this is new territory for all of us. So we will get through it together.. What is most important is that we are communicating together and with students. I would like for you share with your students when you are accessible and include me with that knowledge please.
I had a google hangout meeting with the admin last week, and honestly it was pretty cool. So I would like to have one together as a staff. Let's try 1:00 tomorrow for those of you who are able. I will post directions below and send and invite.
Please check you google email daily along with you regular email. There will be monitoring to see that teachers are making themselves available to students. Lessons for the week need to be posted as well today.
Also, can you please send me a picture of yourself holding a message to send to the students or you can video your message to them. I want to try and put something together .
While it may seem fun to work from home, it can be challenging to keep to a regular schedule. Some things that can help include:
- Take regular breaks.
- Making time to exercise.
- Keep to a regular sleep schedule.
- Limit distractions when possible (turn off social media notifications, for example).
- Set daily and weekly goals.
- Make time to socialize, even if it’s virtually
Not being able to see your students in class definitely poses some challenges especially when you know your students haven't started any online lessons, so we need to make every effort to connect with them. By now the boredom is starting to set in so hopefully we will have more success this week than before spring break.
Please, please reach out to me with ways I can help and assist you or answer any questions.
Have a great week.
Aim High and Dream Big!!
Trish

GOOGLE HANGOUT INSTRUCTIONS
Directions
- There are many ways to start a Google Hangout. The easiest way is to go to https://hangouts.google.com/.

PRIORITIES FOR THIS WEEK
Priorities for this week:
- Let parents know what your "office hours" are and how they can contact you with questions.
- Meet with your team (use google hangout) Be sure to take minutes and send to me or invite me. I will do my best to show up.
- Continue to stay on top of emails! This is our basic form of communication right now
- Reach out directly to me with questions and concerns.
- Continue to reach out to your students , especially those you know have higher needs. Keep a log of your contact on your google contact form. This documentation will be good. I would document emails as well.
- Continue to take care of yourself and your family! Your health and safety are MOST important!
