Golf Ready for District
On Thursday, the LVMS Golf Teams traveled to Llano for their 4th tournament of the short season. The kids showed up ready to play and had an outstanding showing. The Lady Vikings put up a team score of 186 with 3 young ladies all shooting in the 40's. This score proved to be good enough to crown them as the tournament champions. This is the team's 4th consecutive team championship and tenth consecutive, dating back to last season. Taking home extra hardware for individual performances were: Violet Wheeler (4th), Adrianna Owen (2nd), and Jenna Janson (1st).
The boys also showed up ready to swing the clubs. The boys finished the tournament with a team score of 189 which gave them all a 3rd place team medal for the event. Trevor Lane shot an outstanding round of -2 (34) and ended up as the top-boy individual for the tournament. The boys have shown tremendous improvement over the past year and it is paying off for them.
The Vikings will travel to Lampasas for their fifth and final tournament of the season with a DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP in their sights.

Archery Meeting Tomorrow
Are you thinking about getting into archery but haven’t decided if it’s for you or
unsure of what equipment to use?
Do you have the basics down and want to continue excelling in the sport?
Are you ready to shoot competitively?
What is the S3DA? The Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) program is an after-school initiative
for youth who want to participate in archery either recreationally or competitively and for those
ready to take the next step from NASP, 4-H, and the Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts archery
programs. Unlike other youth programs, archers can use any bow of their choosing and all
accessories. Our program standardizes the tournament format, not the equipment. This style of
program provides a natural progression from the Jr. Eagle Division to the Collegiate level,
offering high school participants the opportunity to earn college scholarships.
What is the difference between S3DA and other youth archery organizations? The
difference is simple, S3DA strives to make well-rounded outdoorsmen and women instead of
just introducing kids to the sport of archery. Our goal is for youth to grow and develop
throughout their archery career and into a lifetime of enjoyment in the outdoors. Our sponsors,
partners, the State Fish & Wildlife agencies, etc. are excited to see our program provide that link
between competitive archery and conservation. Check out the S3DA Conservation page on our
website.

Vaping = DAEP
HB 114 makes offenses involving the possession and/or or use of vapes a mandatory DAEP offense. School districts will now be required to place all students who are caught in possession and/or or using vapes (of any kind – not just those with drugs) into their DAEP.
Please share this with your children - it's just not worth it!
