RHS Unified Sports Presented with the Michaels Cup Award & National Unified Banner
The Special Olympics recognized 155 National Banner Unified Champion Schools for the 2019/2020 season. We are extremely proud to be the state with the most schools who have achieved this status - with 31 - especially in light of the challenges presented by Covid-19.
To achieve Unified Champion Banner status, schools must demonstrate a commitment to inclusion by meeting 10 standards of excellence. These standards were developed by a national panel of leaders from Special Olympics and the education community. The primary activities within these standards include: Special Olympics Unified Sports® (students with and without disabilities train and compete as teammates), Inclusive Youth Leadership and Whole-School Engagement.

News from the Library Media Center
These books are selected by Ms. Ingalls with a goal towards promoting and celebrating diverse books. It is important for us all to see ourselves and others represented in authors, storylines, and characters. All RHS students are encouraged to read a variety of books, including ones where they can learn about others whose stories are unlike your own.
