Join us in welcoming Superintendent Dr. Tommy Schmolze back to Rock Hill Schools.

Wednesday, Jan. 12 at Rock Hill High School gym from 6 to 7 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 13 at Northwestern High School auditorium from 6 to 7 p.m.

The Wednesday evening event will be streamed to our website with replays available after the event.

Make Up School To Be Held Wednesday 1/12 from 4-7pm in the Media Center! If you owe Make Up School Hours from 1st semester you should plan to attend. Cost is $20.

Students With FA's on their Report Cards

Some students have received a grade of FA for 1 or more of their 1st semester classes. FA is Failure Due to Attendance. Students who miss 6 or more days per class are required to make up that time in order to receive credit for the class. Students who have absences due to being quarantined or isolated do not count towards the 6 absences.

Students can see Mrs. Runyans during lunch to determine what they need to do to clear their FA(s).

Credit Recovery is Available Now!

If your student did not pass a class during 1st semester, please have them see their counselor so they can complete credit recovery before the end of the school year. There is no cost to complete credit recovery during the school year.

Students who are out on Quarantine or Isolation should log in to their class zoom sessions every day that you feel well enough to do so. Zoom links and assignments are posted on Canvas!

Dual Modality Information

Please refer to this information highlighting the expectations for students when they are working from home.

The call center will be open for reporting and questions on Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

As you may be aware, guidance has changed from CDC and DHEC over the holidays. DHEC is preparing guidance for South Carolina schools, and we will share how Rock Hill Schools will implement this guidance with families as soon as the school system receives this final direction and can prepare and implement these recommendations safely. Until further notice, we will be staying the course with our current quarantine and isolation plan available on our website: https://www.rock-hill.k12.sc.us/Page/9564

Remember, as cases due to the new Omnicron variant are rising in our community, Rock Hill Schools currently stands by the direction of:

  • Students, faculty, and staff members should be fully vaccinated.
  • The wearing of masks is highly recommended in all schools, offices, and facilities during the school day and at after school events.
  • Students, staff, and visitors will practice and follow social distancing wherever and whenever possible.
