What Is Alabama Legislative Responsible For ?
The Alabama Is Responsible For Drafting The State's Budget And Proposing New Laws. The Legislature Presents These New Laws To The Governor, Who May Approve Or Veto Them.
What Do Representatives Do In The Office ?
Legislatures may have other duties. They may be responsible for passing the government’s laws, establishing the government’s budget, confirming executive appointments, ratifying treaties, removing some members from political office, and addressing constituents’ grievances.
An Example Of Unicameral ?
Many small countries have a unicameral legislature. Israel, for example, has a unicameral legislature called the Knesset. Israeli citizens vote for a political party rather than a candidate, with that party gaining the same share of Knesset members as its share of the nationwide vote. This system allows small parties to have members in the legislature. Larger countries, such as the United States and the United Kingdom, usually have a bicameral legislature. These legislatures often consist of an “upper” house of elected, appointed, or sometimes hereditary members and a larger “lower” house of popularly elected members. The Congress of the United States is separated into the Senate and the House of Representatives, whereas the Parliament of the United Kingdom is separated into the House of Lords and the House of Commons.
