Greece vs. Rome
Greece was divided into hundreds of city-states. Each of these city-states had there own customs, laws, and government. People were proud to be from they're city-state and would often not say "I'm from Greece." But would often say "I'm from Athens."Rome had a republic which means the citizens vote. Also had monarchy, aristocracy, democracy.
One type of contribution Greece provided for us are the columns they used. These types of architecture are still used today in Washington DC, however now they are more used for decor. A Roman contribution is language, the Romans spoke and wrote in Latin many languages are based on the Latin language including English.
