The Cat’s Connection
September 2020 - Volume 4
10-9-8-7-6....
We appreciate our community's support during this time of start-up for our schools. It has been a balancing act between too much information, and not enough. Too often, and not often enough, but hopefully between our weekly letters, and now with Homeroom teachers contacting students, the first day of school looks more clear.
As we look to the start of Distance Learning next week we know the chances of something going awry early and often will be temporary, but a part of our new reality. We hope for the best and will work through the kinks as we open the flood gates.
As we work through this together we ask for your understanding and grace in getting our systems to work correctly. We have a good plan and support to remedy glitches in a timely manner and will communicate out frequently.

We'll Embrace the Challenge!
I know, I know, school this year is drastically different, and with all that is new, some could say, up to this point our school year has been hard for any of us to wrap our brains around! It certainly has been a challenge for us as a school, it feels like in many ways we are attempting to reinvent education.
Through it all, we have kept care and connection at the forefront of every decision we make. We know that if our kids don't connect with us as a school, or with what we are trying to teach, all of our efforts will have been for naught.
With this said, I am really excited about our potential this fall and beyond. I believe we have a great opportunity in front of us. Our students are going to be asked to engage in different ways, gaining skills vital to their future success.
We all have a lot to gain through this experience. We all will be stretched as a school community, and with that comes positive growth! We embrace the challenge and we're excited to start this adventure with you all!

New email addresses for students:

Homeroom teachers will walk our students through how to access their new accounts.
*Remember to write down your new password and safeguard it by not giving it to anyone else. Any email currently linked to your student account will be available through your new account.
