Say Something Week Recap
Students had the opportunity to show their commitment to saying something by getting their picture taken in the Say Something Photo Booth on Monday, signing a pledge on Thursday, and wearing green on Friday. On Trusted Adult Tuesday, staff wore stickers that said, "I am a trusted adult." and signed a pledge that they will be trusted adults for our students. On Warning Sign Wednesday, students learned about warning signs to look out for and report to a trusted adult to keep our students and school safe.
Although Say Something week has come to an end, we will continue to encourage students to use the information they learned this week all throughout the year. We encourage you to talk to your child about Say Something week. Not only will this conversation help you to recognize any signs in your own child’s expressions, but it demonstrates to them that you also take this subject seriously and can be one of the trusted adults your child turns to if they suspect someone may need help.
