READING BINGO!

Sign-up for summer reading starting June 12th and get a reading bingo card. Create bingos by crossing off boxes as you complete the activities listed. For each completed row you earn a free book, for each column pick a prize from the prize box, and for each diagonal get both! Turn in your completed bingo card for an extra mystery prize!

Planetarium Adventures: ABC's of the Sky

Planetarium Adventures: Star Stories

Among the twinkling stars the pictures appear defining over 40 “official” constellations seen from our latitude. Star stories from hundreds and thousands of years ago will be told in a fun and memorable format. A demonstration of the earth’s orbit shows the zodiac constellations also known as the “circle of animals”–calendar of ancient times.

The Science Chef: Whats in the Ocean

MiSci: Dry Ice

Thursday, July 27th, 3pm

Explore the states of matter with some super-cold chemical ice! Participants watch as objects freeze before their eyes, bubbles float on an invisible bed, and clouds of gas erupt from the lab table. Learners also observe the process of sublimation, where a solid becomes a gas without first becoming a liquid.

The Science Chef: What's in a mineral

Learn about minerals and how they are composed. Break open your own geode to take home and bring home a recipe and materials to make your own rock candy. *Please note this program is more than an hour long and tailored for kids ages 8 and up*

Uncharted Wild Animal Show

Six varied animals come along including one of our adorable mammals (hedgehogs, chinchillas, or bunnies) and our sassy African grey parrot Pepper! Ever wonder how a bird flies, or what a hedgehog's quills feel like? Well now you can find out!

All Together Now Art Show!

Show off the art you make at the library this summer by being part of our art show! We will be holding 5 art programs this summer, participate in any or all of them. We would love to display your creations in the library as part of a summer art show. Art work will be displayed through the end of August, then you can take it home. (Participation is optional.)

Drop-In Crafts

Just stop by the library on the listed dates at the time that is convenient for you! Crafts take 15-30 minutes to complete. Supplies are limited. First come, first served!

Teach A Robot

Ozobots- Wednesdays July 12 & 19th 2-5pm (Drop-in)

Ozobots are small circular robots that are designed to teach coding. Use markers to tell the robot to turn left, right or even spin around.
Best for ages 7 and up

Cubetto- Wednesdays July 26th & August 2nd 2-5pm (Drop-in)

Cubetto is the friendly wooden robot that will teach your child the basics of computer programming through adventure and hands on play.
