Spring Concert

The DW Choirs hosted a virtual spring concert and awards night May 25 debuting several performances and recognizing graduating eighth-graders.

Choral Director Matthew Clark shared, “Through a fully remote environment, chorus students learned and recorded an extensive and varied repertoire of music, achieving a Division I rating at the Organization Contest sponsored by the Illinois Grade School Music Association. More importantly, students learned that choir is not only about in person singing and performing for a live audience. Centered on the values of musicianship, teamwork, service, and community, we accomplished our goals for the year of learning exciting and diverse music, discovering and strengthening our natural voices, nurturing existing interests and cultivating hidden talents, and creating a family atmosphere where everyone is welcome and every voice is heard.”

Visit Mr. Clark’s YouTube channel to watch songs from the concert. Performances by the chorus will be featured at next week’s graduation ceremony.

Bring Water Bottles to School

As the weather is getting warmer please remind your student to bring their own water bottle from home. Daniel Wright does NOT supply individual bottles of water. There are filtered refillable water bottle stations throughout the school. Label your personal water bottles with your student's name on it so it does not get lost.

Parents are reminded to pick up their child's medication by the end of the school year or it will be safely disposed of by June 22, 2021.
