This Smore is an online induction into Lindale Early Childhood Center of Lindale ISD. The purpose of this is to allow you to learn more about the school and our expectations as you have time.

Campus Leaders
This section will contain a picture and description of campus leaders and their roles.
Code of Ethics
This section will explain that all staff are expected to follow the Code of Ethics and that we take this very seriously in Lindale ISD.
Campus Work Hours
This section will list the hours employees are expected to work and also contain time clock information for paraprofessionals.
Parent Involvement
This will outline different events we have for parent involvement and employee expectations for each of these.

Behavior Management
This section will outline the positive behavior system of Eagle Bucks and detail the expectations of the classroom teacher as far as implementing this positive reinforcement system. It would also outline tiers of behavior and appropriate consequences and the procedure for office referrals.
Curriculum and Assessments
This section will explain what our curriculum is and the assessments that are taken throughout the year along with dates that they are given.
PLC Meetings
This section will discuss our weekly PLC meetings on Tuesdays where teachers have a 90 minute block for planning, discussing data, and discussing instructional strategies.
Skyward
This section will give instructions on how to use skyward for parent communication and for inputting grades.
Campus Duties
This section will outline various campus duties and what is expected.
Instructional Expectations
This section will outline our major non-negotiables regarding instructional expectations.
Instructional Technology
This section will discuss the technology resources that are available in the classroom and the way in which they are expecting to be used in the classroom.
Classroom set up
This section will outline the expectations for classroom set up such as classroom libraries, stations, an area for small group instruction and whole group instruction, etc..
Resource/Supplies
This section will detail what resources and supplies are available to teachers and how to request purchasing supplies if some are needed.
Absences
This section will go over AESOP and how to input absences. It will also go over the procedure of requesting time off campus that does not involve taking a full or half day (Such as going to their own child's class parties at another campus).
Schedules
This will contain a link to the master schedule and also detail what is required to be on their classroom schedule.
Mentors
There will be a list of assigned mentors and detail what is involved with the mentor program.
Campus Committees
Each staff member serves on a campus committee. There will be a list of each committee with their function/roles and also the names of those who serve.
We send a parent orientation out to our incoming parents. Go through this orientation as well so that you are familiar with what we are communicating to parents.
Our teams use Smore to communicate digitally with parents. Each team member takes turns getting the newsletter ready for the week. This is an example of a kindergarten newsletter.
Google Classroom

We use google classroom on our campus frequently. As principal, I post the weekly news on classroom and the handbook is available on classroom. Each month I do a "mini PD" where I post a short video for teachers to comment how this could benefit them in the classroom. Please take time to join our class and explore what is on there to get familiar.
