Activating Transformative Leaders in Communities & Cities
It Is What Happens After Q Commons That Matters Most
For the last two months, we have been communicating to you about Q Commons, and particularly what is happening at Q Commons Sacramento. It might be easy to see this night as just another meeting, party or get together...but, it is NOT. It is a catalytic gathering that connects gospel based leaders and propels them toward advancing good in our communities and cities. This is the goal nationally and locally. That is why, with the theme "Healing our Divided Nation", a lot of energy is going into what happens after that night. Q founder Gabe Lyons will be challenging us to:
SPEAK UP with convictions, compassion and civility online and in person.
MEET UP with someone different from you.
LISTEN UP when friends gather around our tables.
A website will be set up with additional information at www.UpToUsNow.com and we will be using #UpToUs in our social media posts. Locally, we will have meet ups on November 3rd, 9th, and 14th for those who want to talk and act further. But, it all starts with SHOWING UP on Thursday night, October 26th. Haven't registered? Do it today.
Ready to hear more about the power of meeting up? Watch this powerful talk by Joy Johnson from 2016.
Funding Q Commons - will you?
Every local venue for Q Commons has to find their way of funding the event. In Sacramento, that means sponsorship. Two-thirds of the registration fee goes to support the national work of Q and it is impossible to run an event that costs less than a ticket to a movie. We would like to say thank you to our sponsors: Thrivent Capitol Corridor Group, The Master's Program, Reflect Next, Real Estate & Lending Solutions, Western Seminary, Real Life Church, Jesus Culture Sacramento, BIOLA University, WebLife Stores, William Jessup University and the Norm Kreiser family. We are still looking for four more sponsors to fully fund our event. Will you? To sponsor, contact LeeAnn Danielson at LeeAnn@actsonline.net.
