"Tell me I forget. Teach me I remember. Involve me I learn."

Language Arts

This week we began reading Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. This is our third and final novel unit of the year and we are having so much fun already! Throughout this book we will be working on many different reading and comprehension strategies including theme, analyzing characters and setting, and compare and contrast (characters). You will be hearing a lot about Tuck Everlasting in the next few weeks :)

In writing this week, we will continue working on introduction and concluding paragraphs along with color coding our work. We are now working on our final writing assessment of the year!

In science this week we are continuing our research in the Sun, Moon, and Planets. We are studying elements of our solar system and discussing how they interact with one another. We will be having a science quiz on the Sun, Moon, and Planets on Monday, May 16.
