Year 5 Weekly Update
Friday 6th March 2015
Week 25
Book Week
The children have had a fantastic book week where our focus in Year 5 was on the illustrator Barbara Lehman. We learnt about her style of illustration and submitted our own art work to the whole school gallery. It was wonderful to see all the effort that was put into the book week activities (kindly organised by the English department) and the dress up parade which took part this afternoon. Thank you parents for all the help with the costumes!
International Food Fair - raffle tickets - a gentle reminder that this is the FINAL week to sell /return tickets for a chance to win some fantastic prizes on Friday 13th March!!

UOI - Big Business
This week the children have looked closely at their survey data to develop product choices. The business' are taking shape, as members take on specific roles and responsibilities, and the marketing plans are well underway.
Next Tuesday 10th March, we have our trips to Sha Tin Junior (please remember to bring $20 to spend if you wish) and Sham Shui Po, where the business groups will spend their budget on products, ingredients, promotions & packaging.
Please also remember that the year 5's have taken the initiative to collect recycled plastic bags for customers to purchase on market day to carry their amazing array of goods. They have decided to bring in any spare plastic shopping bags from home. If you haven't already, please can you help them to search around your homes to add to our collection.
