---INFORMATION FOR THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 8, 2016---
SPRING HVEF GRANTS
OnCourse has released a new feature allowing teachers to update daily attendance, even after it has been previously saved. There is no longer a need to contact the main office in order to change daily attendance. Student arriving to school tardy but before 8:17 a.m. should be admitted directly to class and marked tardy by the teacher. Students arriving after 8:17 a.m. should sign in at the main office. Thank you!
Although the notes included with the course eligibility information are not visible to students and parents, please keep in mind that students may be able to see this information if it appears on the counselor's screen during their conference.
On February 18, Project PRIDE will be speaking to our 9th and 10th grade students during Session Three, Period Four. and our 11th and 12th grade students during Session Four, Period 6. Project PRIDE is described as "a community outreach program which brings minimum custody offenders, escorted by corrections officers, into middle and high schools to talk about their personal experiences with drugs and alcohol. Young people have an opportunity to hear real-life stories and to consider the consequences of substance abuse."
SGO MID-YEAR REVIEW
Please begin reviewing your SGOs, analyzing your mid-year data, and noting any roster changes to determine if alterations need to be made to your groups or your goals in the SGOs. Modifications can be made until February 15. The administration will begin the process of reviewing SGOs in the upcoming weeks.
Course eligibilty information needs to be entered into OnCourse by February 12. Please see the powerpoint from the January 20 faculty meeting for detailed instructions. Questions? Contact Trish Pinelli.
END OF THE MARKING PERIOD
Parents will be able to access student report cards on Friday, February 12. If you had any students with incomplete grades from the first or second quarter, please be sure to contact Molly Lytle as soon as you are able to provide a final quarter grade. We need to update the student records in a timely fashion.
FIELD TRIPS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT REQUESTS
A reminder from the Board Office: please make sure to submit paperwork for field trips and professional development requests at least 45 days prior to the trip for board approval.
