April 26, 2020
This week's announcement by Governor Baker about the closing of the school building until the end of the year was very upsetting and sad to hear. The KPMS faculty and staff miss seeing our students and many of us were still holding out hope that we could all be together at KPMS for at least a little bit of time before the end of the school year.
Below, please find information about parent/guardian feedback on our remote learning plan, student access to the school building, and an update on grading. Thank you for continuing to partner with us as we work through this challenging time together.
Sincerely,
Michelle
Remote Learning Feedback Survey for Parents/Guardians
As we move forward into the last part of the school year, we are seeking feedback on the current middle school remote learning plan. Parents/Guardians, please fill out the following short survey by Wednesday, April 29.
Student Access to the Building
As the health and safety of our students and families are our main concerns, we will not be allowing students to come into the building until late May or June. Further, in order to maintain physical distancing guidelines we plan to have a restricted number of students in the building at any given time. More information about student access to the building will be released in the coming weeks.
From the Guidance Department
Please follow this link and take a moment to explore this week's Mindful Minute. Each week, the KPMS Guidance Department is reaching out to our students to help them understand that there are things they can do with their mind to support their well-being. The newsletter provides specific strategies that they can use.
