It is officially September!

We have had some excitement at Starr this week! The fourth grade was gifted a field trip through a BP grant and the Challenger Learning Center for the event Mars Stars & More. None of this could have been possible without the work of Rhaya Hindi. Thank you!

The students also had a visit from Iron Man. At Starr this year, Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Gillen are kicking the year off with ,Character Education, full speed ahead. The students will learn about what makes a person a bucket filler. It will also teach them how to fill someone's bucket! It all goes hand in hand with our expectations at Starr Elementary and our Bucket Filler Program. RESPECT is our trait this month. Every Thursday there will be a quick tip on the WSTAR announcements about our trait. If your child has any super hero t-shirts, have him/her wear them on Thursdays this year. We will have an all out Super Hero Day later in the year!
