We are looking for PTA members to join us as we serve the Mulberry Community. The Nominating Committee was elected during the PBL Showcase on January 28, 2016 and are ready to select the slate for the upcoming election. If you are interested in serving as Co-President, Treasurer, Secretary, VP of Fundraising, VP of Communication or VP of Membership, please pick up a questionnaire from the front office.

All completed questionnaires must be submitted no later than 9:00 AM on Tuesday, March 31st, 2016. The candidates will be presented and elected at Multicultural Night on Thursday, April 14, 2016. If you have any questions, you may contact Kris Currie at .

Don’t forget Hat Day on March 1st! It is a week from Tuesday and if your child would like to wear a hat, please send in a donation of $1.00. This will coincide with Pajama Day and Read Across America Day. Everyone knows that no pajama set is complete without a hat! Additional donations are greatly appreciated and any checks can be written to the American Cancer Society.

Career Fair

Mulberry Elementary School is excited to inform you that our annual Career Fair for 2nd-5th grade students is scheduled for Thursday, March 10th. This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about various occupations through guest speakers from our community.

If you are available to speak to small groups of students about your occupation on March 10th, please fill out the form in your child’s red folder and return it to your child’s classroom teacher by February 5th. We would be honored to have you join us for this exciting learning experience!

Yearbook Update

Dedication and Personalization Deadline - Feb 19:

Today's the day! February 19 is the last day or order your yearbook if you'd like your child's name on the front.

It's also the last day to order Pre-K through 4th grade dedications. Each are only $5!

Order forms went home last week, or email me for a copy. Email me right away if you still want this!

Yearbook Photo Needs:

I'm wrapping up the last few pages, because my final deadline is coming up.

Thank you to everyone who took and submitted pictures this year.

Look for your photos when the yearbook comes out in May.

Final Yearbook Count

I'm turning in my final count to the plant on February 26. If you preordered, then you're guaranteed a yearbook.

If not, I'll have a small supply of extra copies. I'll continue to sell them, first come, first served.

I anticipate selling out early this year!

Order online at or email me for an order form.

Not sure if you ordered? Contact me!

Six Flags Reading Program is almost over!

All reading logs are due to your child’s teacher on February 22nd.

Each student must read 6 hours to earn a Six Flags ticket

for use this summer. Six hours is only 360 minutes!

If you haven’t sent in your child’s form to the teacher, please do so by Monday, 2/22!

Transportation Changes

We strongly encourage you to send your child home the same way every day. However, we do understand that emergencies do arise. Should you need to change your child's transportation, a hand written note from home is required with a parent signature.

Phone calls and emails are not accepted.
