OLVCS Updates
April 28th, 2023
Dear Families and Friends of Our Lady of Victory Catholic School,
We closed out April with some big events:
- On Tuesday, 6th Grade took a trip to the Palmer Museum at Penn State.
- Our Middle School Track team had a big win against Penns Valley on Wednesday.
- Wednesday was Administrative Professionals Day. Everyone in our school is very grateful to the women in our offices that keep the school running and help our students in countless ways: Mrs. Cawley, Mrs. Houtz, and Mrs. Weber.
- Students in our Spring Band and Strings Concert did a wonderful job last evening. Thank you to Mrs. Huff and Mrs. Muller for their teaching and directing.
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Please contact your child’s homeroom parent for details on how you can show your appreciation, stop by or contact our office to learn more about your teacher’s favorites.
During Mass this morning, Father George spoke of several saints including St. Gianna and St. Paul. I just learned about a podcast that dives deeper into the lives of the Saints called Saints Alive. It’s kid friendly, and more can be found here.
Following Mass today, our second grade students made their First Reconciliation. Let’s pray for these children that they may continue to draw from the graces of the sacrament and continue to trust in the Lord’s mercy throughout their lives.
With May pretty much here, field trips and field day are coming up. Just a reminder that we do need up-to-date clearances if you would like to volunteer. Because the processing of clearances can be extensive, planning ahead for next school year is recommended, also.
As always, there is much more happening at OLV Catholic School and Preschool, OLV Church, and St. Joseph’s to read about below. Thank you for your involvement in whatever ways you do help and will contribute in the future!
In Christ,
Jim Hoy

2. Select your student to begin the re-enrollment process.
3. Be sure to complete all your student(s)'s checklist items, including the tuition contract and all online forms.
4. Submit hard copy, grade-specific forms (e.g. physical forms) directly to the school office as soon as possible.
5. If your family is interested in receiving need-based tuition support, you must complete the online STS application. More information about this application, including the due date, can be found at https://www.olvcatholicschool.org/Page/1276
Do you have a student who will be entering OLVCS Kindergarten in the Fall 2023? Then please complete the initial registration process for this child, not "re-enrollment." This includes children who are currently attending OLV Preschool, other preschools, or learning at home.
Please contact the school office with any questions regarding re-enrollment and/or initial registration.

We need your help! This annual event consists of fun, outdoor stations in the morning. The K-4 students will be at stations in the back of the school, and 5-8 will have their stations in the front. Parent volunteers are needed for 'running' the stations, as classes rotate through. No experience necessary!
