Here is what we have been doing in class!
*We are continuing to review and practice classroom routines. Routines are important to know to help our classroom be a fun learning environment. We have been using our clip chart to reinforce positive classroom behavior. Please check your child's binder each night, as a record of the days behavior is in there.
*As a class, we are also working on following directions.
*We are in the process of working on district assessments. Most are completed.
*In Reader's Workshop, we are practicing our routines. Children are learning how to manage some of the different parts of Reader's Workshop. Everyone has been book shopping. We have learned and practiced Read to Self and Read to Someone. We have also been using seasonal picture books to learn about setting an characters.
*In Writer's Workshop, we continuing to practice. Everyone has started writing their small moments. We know that our stories must have a beginning, middle, and end. We are learning how to "hone" in on the small details and make them big.
*In Math Workshop, we are well into Unit 2. We have learned about partners, totals, equations, and counting on. We have started learning how to do our rotations for Math Workshop.
*In Social Studies, we are learning about families and all of the things that make families special.
*Please send in a peanut free snack daily.
*Thank you for your book orders! I had one of the biggest orders and was able to get many free books for our classroom! As always, i thank you for your support! I ordered some of our favorite titles!
*The Addams Fun Run is October 21! Thank you for registering your child and getting pledges! If you have not already done so, please register your child.
*Information for Parent Teacher conferences came home through Sign Up Genius. I will send the link again. Please sign up if you have not already done so.
*Please check your child's binder each night and take out any papers that need to come out. The binder should come back to school each day.
