Sprague School
Read-A-Thon Contributors
We want to deeply thank our community for the tremendous support of our Read-a-Thon fundraiser! Thank you, as well, to our Lincolnshire business contributor CTM CPAs & Business Advisors. We are thrilled to share that over $21,000 was raised and will be used to foster a love of literature in the Sprague community! In addition to the production and installation of our Sprague School Storywalk™ itself, we will be able to purchase books to utilize in the Storywalk™ displays for the near future. We plan to use any remaining funds to provide books for classrooms, in order to support student growth, and to encourage our students' love of learning and reading! We hope for the Storywalk™ to be ready for students and the community by the fall, and we will follow up when we have more specific information to offer! We look forward to sharing the Storywalk™ experience with you all!

Recognizing Women in History
National Women's History Month was established by presidential proclamation in order to draw attention to and improve the focus on women in historical studies. It began in New York City on March 8, 1857, when female textile workers marched in protest of unfair working conditions and unequal rights for women. Women’s History Week was instituted in 1978 in an effort to begin adding women’s history into educational curricula. At Sprague, students read books about notable women and then drew pictures of them. Please visit the school's Google Doc folder to see the pictures.
Optional Home Input Form
At Sprague, we believe that home-school collaboration creates the best possible placement for students.
The creation of classes is an important process for our students where staff collectively looks at the needs of individuals, groups, the balance of academics, and social-emotional needs, to create healthy learning groups and environments.
If you wish to share information on your child, please fill out the Optional Home Input Form. The input you provide will be reviewed and considered as we begin planning for your child's upcoming school year. While specific teacher requests cannot be accommodated, your insight is valued. We look forward to providing your child with continued learning excellence. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with your child's team.
Please note, the input you share is not private between the Principal and parent and will be shared with our team during the placement process. Please do not request specific teachers. Any response form that lists a specific teacher will not be included in the placement process. Please complete a form for each of your children, if desired. This form needs to be completed by Friday, April 14.
Claim Lost Items
Sprague is overflowing with unclaimed hats, coats, gloves, lunch boxes, and more. Stop in to retrieve your child's belongings. Unclaimed items will be donated after school on Friday, March 24. Please remember to clearly label belongings that students bring to school.
