BHS Library Annual Report
2018-2019
READ! CREATE! LEARN! EXPLORE!
The BHS Library's goal for the 2018-2019 school year was to engage our students to READ, EXPLORE, LEARN, & CREATE.
Here are the highlights!
READ!
Circulations
Circulations are slightly down from last year.
We are glad to do Pop-up Libraries in your classroom to help support your curriculum!

Our Most Popular Titles
Our top 2 books are new releases and reflect high school reading choices from across the country.
Our 3rd choice is an outstanding nonfiction title that many of our students loved!
CREATE!

LEARN!
Database Usage
The Database Smackdowns and Database Digital Breakout helped many of our students learn to access and use our databases to locate reliable information for research and inquiry projects.
Research Guides
Our number of Research Guides increases each year. Let the library help your students complete your research assingments with a Research Guide created specifically for your students. We'll curate reliable sources of information and research assistance in one convenient link. Click HERE to see all of our Research Guides.
A Major Research Library is Right Down the Road
The Library collaborated with Adam Rotche and his AP Seminar students with a field trip to VT's Newman Library. At Newman, we worked with VT librarians and accessed their databases to support the students' semester-long research project.
EXPLORE!

Mr. Pedersen created this great program for our students in December. We had 15 participants (on a Friday night!) and everyone had a great time.
Magnetic Poetry/National Poetry Month
April was National Poetry Month and the Library offered a number of opportunities for students to express themselves in verse.
