Books and Breakfast with Buddies
On the morning of January 27th, instead of having our morning meeting, families will have the option to sign up for a breakfast delivery, and every student will be receiving a new book! We are asking for “buddies” (moms, dads, grandparents, older siblings, aunts, uncles, older cousins, caretakers, guardians - anyone over the age of 18) to volunteer to share their favorite short picture book with the students. If you don’t have a favorite book, but would like to read to a group of students, we will gladly send a book to you to read! Even students who don't have a buddy to join them will have breakfast delivered, be included in small groups, and have the pleasure of listening to other buddies read to them.
Please take time to fill out the google form by January 14th to let us know if you are interested in participating in this event!
What Are We Learning This Week?
Math
We will continue working on multiplication, grouping, and arrays this week.
Please note there is a math live lesson on Thursday's at 10 am.
Reading
Reading Groups:
This week's small groups went great! Thank you to all parents for helping keep their student-organized and getting on the google meet at the right times. Each reading group will be working on different skills based on reading level.
ELA Lessons:
We are currently on Unit C of our ELA curriculum. This unit focuses on non-fiction text features, biographies, and story sequence.
Science
Please note that there is a Science Live Lesson on Fridays at 10:00 am.
Gym
Hi 3rd and 4th grade families. This past week we continued our Baseball/Softball unit by learning the different positions and practicing three different throws; the overhand throw, slow pitch softball pitch, and fast pitch softball pitch. After a week of the workout routines, we increased our reps to apply more strain on our muscles. In health, we learned about the importance of incorporating stretching into our physical activities and where we get fuel for our bodies. Looking forward to next week we will work on hand and eye coordination and learn about stress. Have a great weekend.
Please note there is a Live Gym Lesson each week on Wednesdays at 10:30 am.

Scholastic Book Orders
If you would like to order books, I highly recommend doing so online. I have linked below the website to which you can quickly and easily order books from Scholastic. If you order, please use our class code. Every time a student uses this code to place an order, our classroom gets points. I can then use those points to order amazing books for our classroom library.
Our Class Code: XN274
Attendance and Grading
Grading will be done based on their effort and progress on assignments.
