Education Support Professionals - Thank You
This week, we celebrated the incredible contributions of Education Support Professionals who play important roles in our schools and buildings for our students, teachers, and administrators in countless ways.
Please meet Mrs. Susan Whitfield, our amazing Behavior Support Specialist at Robinson. She’s an integral part of our counseling and social worker teams to help identify students who may need some outside classroom support.
On any given day, Mrs. Whitfield connects with students during recess, supports student learning in classes, provides motor breaks, and truly pitches in any way possible. “She redefines flexibility and does everything imaginable in our school”, said Robinson principal Dr. Angeline O’Neal-Hogrefe. “Susan is always positive, always flexible and does whatever it takes to help kids.”
She’s also a lead staff member in Robinson’s Student Success Center - a space within Robinson where students can connect, develop social skills, and provides the space for reflection after challenging situations.
And our Robinson students adore her, too. “When I’m sad or lonely, she helps me,” shared one student. “I like when she takes care of me,” said another. “She’s always nice.”
Thank you, Mrs. Whitfield, and all our Education Support Professionals.
