Cultural differences
Between France and America
France is very different from the U.S, not only in the language they speak but how they live.
For example, eating crepes, which to an American is like a thin pancake, is normal life in France, but is rarely seen in the U.S.
Other differences include:
They shop differently.
They don't have people to help you put your items in a bag. You are expected to do it yourself, as apposed to in the U.S, where the staff typically do it for you.
They eat different foods.
Aside from crepes, French people eat macarons and croissants. A macaron is like a light cookie with filling, and a croissant is a soft, buttery pastry. Americans typically eat things that have more calories and are less healthy.
They behave differently.
They are not as friendly in France as in the U.S. Americans smile at people they don't even know, while that is uncommon in France.
