Danville South Elementary
Maximizing Student Growth While Creating Positive Memories
Welcome to South Elementary!!!!
Just a quick introduction, I am Tina Noe and I will be serving as your child's principal. This year will be my 21st year as the proud principal of Danville South Elementary. Before taking this role, I taught at Danville North Elementary for 8 years. I have raised my 5 kids here in Danville and am passionate about serving this community. I am excited to partner with you for the 22-23 school year!
Our first day of school will be August 10th! Below is more information about all of the things you need to know in preparation for the school year.
We look forward to seeing you all soon! It's going to be a great year!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Tina Noe

Not Coming Back?
Open House, Tuesday, August 9th!!!
End of Day Destinations (MUST COMPLETE)
Knowing each student's end of day destination is vital for us to ensure each child's safety. Please complete this form before noon on Monday, August 8th so that we have ample time to prepare our first day stickers and our database before students arrive (and then have to go home) on the first day of school.
School Supplies
If you have purchased your own supplies, please bring those on the evening of the open house or as you are able to send them in with your child.
If any families are in need of school supply assistance, please contact southoffice@danville.k12.in.us and let us know of your needs. We have a wonderfully supportive community that has donated supplies.
The school supply list can be found on our webpage at www.danville.k12.in.us under parent and student resources.
First Day of School
Doors open- 7:25 a.m.
Tardy bell- 7:40 a.m.
Dismissal- 2:25. p.m.
Opening Day
To help with easing dismissal jitters, please make sure your child and their teacher know exactly where your child is to go after school. Students and teachers should know if they are to be a car rider, bus rider, or walker.
Please note that parents will not be able to walk students into the school on the first day. We will be following our normal procedures.
Car Riders
At the end of the day, students will not be released to their car until the car is along the sidewalk and they must enter the PASSENGER side of the vehicle.
On the first day of school, we will send home a VISOR TAG to display each day in the pick-up line. Students will be lined up just inside our doors awaiting your arrival. As parents pull up, our staff will radio for students to come out. Please be sure the visor tag is visible. We ask for your patience in the first few days as we work to make it a quick and efficient process.
Walkers or Bike Riders
A bicycle rack is available outside door #14 for any bike riders.
Please help your child time their arrival as close to 7:25 a.m. as possible.
Destination Changes
Breakfast and Lunch
Beginning the first day of school, students may choose to get a grab and go breakfast from our cafeteria. Students will “check in” at their classrooms first, pick up breakfast from the cafeteria, and then take it back to the classroom to eat prior to the start of the day’s activities. Breakfast is free for the 22-23 school year.
Visitors will be allowed for lunch this year. Please notify South's office if anyone other than a parent will be joining your child for lunch. We also ask that you please note that if a visitor brings lunch items for their child, no carbonated beverages are allowed and food cannot be shared with other children. We ask that you refrain from coming to lunch the first week of school so that we can help establish routines with all of our students.
Lunch A: McDugle, Vrabel, Bartlett, Swartz- 11:00-11:30
Lunch B: Rupp, Grundlock, Legan, Wilson, Rawley- 11:30-12:00
Lunch C: Foltz, Rodgers, Clements, Klausing, Dodd- 12:00-12:30
