Moran Prairie Messenger
Weekly Moran Prairie Family and Community Newsletter
Welcome from Ms. Hellenthal
I would like to welcome you all to our new Moran Prairie Messenger! This will be the platform for our weekly family newsletter. It will typically include updates from me, a PTG connection, and upcoming events. It will periodically include resources for families, action items, messages from staff, etc.
This will be our first bulletin, and we will resume in August once school is back in session!

Goodbye from Mr. Crabtree
Moran Prairie Staff, Parents and Community,
As my 46th year in education ends, this feels like a good time to announce my retirement. I can't think of a better school to have spent my last two years as a full-time principal. THANK YOU for the grace and many kindnesses you have shown me. I have enjoyed getting to know you and been amazed by the tremendous efforts, love, and dedication you pour into your children and our larger community on a daily basis.
In my retirement I hope to travel, enjoy my family and especially my grandchildren. I will also be substituting for other principals occasionally on an as needed basis. As I begin to close this chapter of my life, the blessings I take with me are amazing. First and foremost, it has been incredible to have a career I have loved so much. I am beyond proud to be an educator and to have worked with so many fantastic people from all walks of life. The learning and rewards never end when you work in the world of education. One of the many benefits is watching the team effort change the lives of our students for the better.
Thank you for two terrific years at Moran Prairie. It has been my privilege to serve as the principal. Moran Prairie is a tremendous school, with amazing students, staff and parents. I strongly believe that helping a child is the greatest act of kindness, and again, it has been my good fortune to be part of your community. You are ALL heroes in my eyes.
Take care my friends!
Mike Crabtree

We are working on hiring for our open 4th grade, 2/3 multiage, and PA positions. Announcements on new staff joining our community will come later in the summer!
The PTG is working to order our soccer goals using funds raised from this year's Prairie Dog Dash. Thank you for all you have done! Students will be so excited to return to school with new soccer goals.
