Club 45 At Home
Week 6 April 17-23
Because of Jesus...
So many great things begin with that phrase! Today, I came to the parking lot at St. Luke's hospital and joined a number of people, all singing together and worshiping at a safe physical distance from our cars, praying for our city, for our health care workers, for our government. And singing the song below - "My fear doesn't stand a chance when I stand in your love!" One of our very own youth at the Vineyard had organized this event with Life 97.3.
It was a great moment! Because of Jesus, we don't need to be afraid. I can't wait to hear about how you experience God this week as you talk with your family about what Jesus teaches us about worry.
Love your Club 45 team,

Gather up some family and let's do Club 45 at home!
Circle Time
Alright everyone, time to begin! Answer the following questions with your family:
- Your name
- Your number from 1-4 that tells us how you are...1 is not so good, 4 is great.
-
What bird, flower, or animal is your favorite and why?
Worship
Stand In Your Love
When darkness tries to roll over my bones
When sorrow comes to steal the joy I own
When brokenness and pain is all I know
I won't be shaken, no, I won't be shaken
My fear doesn't stand a chance
When I stand in Your love
My fear doesn't stand a chance
When I stand in Your love
My fear doesn't stand a chance
When I stand in Your love
Oh, shame no longer has a place to hide
And I am not a captive to the lies
Oh, I'm not afraid to leave my past behind
I won't be shaken, no, I won't be shaken
There's power that can break off every chain
There's power that can empty out a grave
There's resurrection power that can save
There's power in Your name, power in Your name
Find it in the Bible
In a physical Bible, or in a Bible app like YouVersion, look up Matthew 6:34. Read it together. Think and talk about this:
- What kinds of things do people worry about?
- Why does God tell us we don't need to worry?
Time for our Bible Story!
Last week we learned about Jesus’ fulfillment of God’s rescue plan. Jesus is alive... forever! And He always invites us into that forever life with Him. But, even with a forever life, Jesus said that we would still have trouble in this world. So how do we handle the hard stuff, the things that scare us? Let’s read today’s story and see how Jesus meets us in the midst of our fear.
Let's think about that a little bit!
- Jesus saw all these people and his heart is filled with what? How does that make you feel?
- These people were like a little flock of sheep with no shepherd to take care of them. What do you think a shepherd does?
- Why is Jesus talking to us about birds? What are we to learn from the birds about God?
- Is Jesus really saying that flowers have clothes? What does He want us to notice about flowers?
- What is Jesus trying to say to us?
Quiet time - just you and Jesus
Find a spot where you and Jesus can chat. Let’s imagine ourselves on that grassy hill and Jesus just got done talking to you. Let’s sit quietly for a few minutes in His presence and imagine Jesus walking up to you and asking for your worries. What worries do you want to talk with him about?
We are going to take a few minutes of quiet for you to be with Jesus and to talk with him.
