Harris Nest Egg Scholarship

On May 25, 5 graduating seniors from the SCW Class of '22 stopped by their old school, Harris Elementary, to be honored as the recipients of the inaugural Harris Nest Egg Scholarship. Lily Jackson, Carl Duffner, Paige Ryherd, Dylan Patterson and Daniel Bearden applied for the scholarship that was made available by the tremendous efforts of the Harris PTO.

The students were greeted in an all-school assembly and presented with certificates of their scholarship from their former Harris teachers. What a great way to cap off an amazing educational journey at SCSD!

SCSD students earn Adobe certification

Congratulations to the following high school students who earned the Visual Design using Adobe Photoshop certification this semester in the Visual Design course, which is a course in the Business/Marketing department at both high schools.

Congratulations to St. Charles West seniors Braden Goellner (high jump) and Lily Jackson (1600 meter) on winning 1st place in their respective events. Great job Warriors!

SCSD teachers honored by Lindenwood University

Congratulations to Lauren Czerniewski, SCW, and Shelby Lassanske, Monroe Elementary, on being named "Spring 2022 Outstanding Cooperating Teachers" by Lindenwood University. The announcement was made in one of the school's newsletters "The Lead".

Cooperating teachers work with LU teacher candidates to prepare them for a successful career in education. Thank you to Lauren, Shelby and all of the program's teachers for mentoring these future educators!

4 SCSD teachers awarded STEM grants

Congratulations to Amanda Davis, Jefferson Intermediate School, John Omoresemi, St. Charles County CAPS, and Coverdell Elementary teachers Kellari Anders and Julie Dreher on being part of the 2022 Randy Schilling STEM Educators Grant program.
