Grade 7 Art Students Take Inspiration from "30 Americans" Exhibit

Seventh grade artists recently created mixed-media compositions inspired by contemporary Black artists featured in the traveling exhibit “30 Americans.” This exhibit has been traveling the country for over a decade and strives to fill in historical gaps in American museum collections.

Students chose from a wide variety of materials, styles & techniques surrounding the central subject matter of a heart symbol.
