Emergency Management Committee Bring You A Few Reminders For Emergency Evacuation Drills

  • If your class is in a special area, you are not responsible for finding your class. You should check in with the nearest accountability person so that they can report that you are safe.
  • Adults should be the last out of the classrooms and the building. Please remember to close your classroom door. If you are the last adult out of the building where you are exiting, please close the exterior doors.
  • We need to work together to help everyone stay safe in the event of an emergency. If you pass a bathroom on the way to exit the building, please open the door and yell in to check for students. You do not have to go into the bathroom to look for students.
  • Please remind your students about what to do in the event they are not with the class and there is an emergency. They should exit the building at the closest exit, report to the closest rally point, and check in with an adult. The rally points are the two parking lots out front and the baseball field in the back of the school.

2nd Annual BCPS Attendance Awareness Commerical Contest

Students challenged to make commercials promoting school attendance. Prizes to be awarded at elementary, middle, and high school levels. The best commercials are so funny, inventive, and/or heartwarming that you can’t wait to see them again AND you can’t wait to do or buy whatever they are selling. Those are the kinds of commercials we hope students will make for their entries into the second Baltimore County Public Schools Attendance Awareness Commercial Contest.

BCPS wants to get students involved in spreading messages about why regular school attendance is so important.
