News and Notes from the Principal
Wow! It is hard to believe that next week will be the last full week of school for the 20-21 school year! While this year has been jam packed with challenges for our students, staff and stakeholders; all parties truly rose to the occasion, showed extreme resilience and continued to "Commit to Excellence and Success in ALL we do!" The lessons learned on all fronts this year will only make for a more efficient, effective and robust environment for ALL next year - Thank you ALL for your involvement, willingness to support your students and desire to see prosper from an extraordinary year!
Next week will prove to be fast paced as students study for final exams, Seniors make final preparations for summer and the staff prepares for the end of the year! Please use this newsletter as a resource for information as there are quite a few activities for students/parents to take special note of as we close out the school year!

All parental notes must be submitted within 48 hours of the students returning to school. Notes will be signed and dated explaining the reason for the absence, the date(s) of the absence (s), and a daytime phone number. Bryan County Schools Attendance committee will review any notes submitted after the 48 hour deadline to determine whether the excuse is accepted at that time.
As it relates to attendance and expectations regarding the check out process, please exercise the following should your child need to leave early! The process is as follows: send in a note, student drops it by attendance office in the morning, be sure to include a good contact number for verification, student will be given a class dismissal note, and sign themselves out
Health & Safety Reminders:
- If your child is unable to attend school due to COVID-related symptoms or an exposure to someone with COVID,please be sure to contact the school to speak with the nurse: (tparker@bryan.k12.ga.us or dfoster@bryan.k12.ga.us) - All attendance related notes should be submitted to Ms. Carolyn Oetjen via email at (coetjen@bryan.k12.ga.us)
- If your student is not feeling well, please do NOT send them to school. With concurrent learning they have the opportunity to take advantage of the curriculum even when not present - they can log into their google meets.

Chrome Book Return
CLASS OF 2021 SENIORS
COLLECTION DETAILS (FULL DETAILS)
Dates: May 17, 18, 19
Times: 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Location: Room 702
Audience: Class of 2021 Seniors
Collection Procedure:
1) Bring your school issued Chromebook & Charger to room 702 during the school day.
2) Present your charger and Chromebook with lid opened and turned on to the WBL student.
3) A WBL student will evaluate the presented Chromebook & Charger and document its return or rejection.
9TH THRU 11TH GRADE STUDENTS
COLLECTION DETAILS (FULL DETAILS)
Dates: May 21, 24, 25
Times: 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Location: East Cafeteria
Audience: All 9th thru 11th grade students with a school issued Chromebook.
Collection Procedure:
1. Bring your school issued Chromebook (NO CHARGER) to the East Cafeteria. 7:30-2:30
2. Present Chromebook with lid opened and turned on to the collection agent.
3. A WBL student will document and collect the device for summer storage.
a. DO NOT TURN IN THE CHARGER
b. Save the charger for when the device is returned to you during Open House.
**Chromebooks will be used for many final exams, please do not have your student return their Chrombook prior to their final exam day.
SENIOR CLASS INORMATION
SENIOR WALK - May 19, 2021
Seniors that are going to MES, FMES, RHPS, RHES, and Carver Elementary School should be on their bus by 9:00am.

ATTENTION PARENTS OF RISING JUNIORS FOR 21-22 SCHOOL YEAR
Effective July 1, 2021, children 16 years of age and older, who are entering the 11th grade
(including new entrants), MUST have received one booster dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4), unless their initial dose was administered on or after their 16th birthday.

Parking Permits
All students parking on campus, including dual enrolled students must have a parking permit.

Regular Sale Permits: $65.00; Spring Semester Only Permits: $32.50
Qualifications to Purchase a Parking Permit during the Regular time periods:
- Not on Obligations List
- Passing or passed at least 75% of classes
*Students with more than 6 absences and/or tardies (for second semester 19-20) will be able to purchase a parking permit with a signed attendance contract. The attendance contracts will be made available to those students who must have this in order to purchase a parking permit.
*Students who do not meet the Academic expectations will be able to purchase parking permits beginning the second nine weeks. All of the above qualifications must continue to be met in order to apply at the second nine weeks and purchase a parking permit for $65.00. Spring Parking Permits only are available for $32.50.
