We need your help on the TGS Postive Behavior Team!
We're looking for a parent/guardian and a student to join TGS's Positive Behavior Team! The selected individuals will meet with the team about once per month and help out with some tasks in between meetings. This is a great opportunity to include your input in The Graham School's effort to foster student ownership of and responsibility for their high school education. Please apply here.
All TGS Students Qualify From Now Until the End of December for Free Breakfast and Lunch
During virtual learning TGS will continue to serve student meals through The National School Lunch Program. Families MUST sign-up for pick-up dates a week in advance to assure that food is ordered. If you sign up later than the one week time frame we may not have enough meals to distribute.
This is only for students enrolled at TGS. Food portions will not be provided for siblings. If for any reason some of these guidelines will make it difficult for you to pick up meals, or if you have any questions about these guidelines or the lunch program in general, please contact Bryan Kossmann directly at bkossmann.1@thegrahamschool.org or 614.262.1111 (Email is preferred) to sign up for a pick-up time.
Free Internet Hot Spots Available Now for All Students Eligible for Free or Reduced Lunch!

Check Out The TGS Greenhouse
Three years ago an anonymous donor applied for federal grant to get and give a greenhouse to a school in order to connect young people to nutritious foods. Mary Slaback connected with the donor via her husband, Steve who met him and heard his story and suggested he contact TGS.
Mary and TGS students started working in the greenhouse in the spring. They started growing greens, tomatoes and peppers all from seeds. Due to Covid many of the students have not been able to help.
Mary has continued to take care of the greenhouse, watering the plants and bagging greens. The greens are shared with TGS families.
First Town Meeting!
The Graham School staff and students met online for the year's first Town Meeting (November 12). Staff members at each grade level announced the students of the month, awarded for academic excellence. Nia Edwards-Johnson, Blu Martinez, Roy Berry, Helen Shapoval, David Huff, and Kristiana Jones all received that recognition. We also presented this school year's first round of Green Dragons to Jaelyn Koueviakoe, Michael Mascola, Skylar Warrick, Emily Moore, and Brionna Gilliam - this award is for all around excellence in academics and the Habits of Learning! The Green Dragon is the most prestigious award a TGS student can earn, outside of the awards presented at our end of the year ceremony. We celebrated student achievements in our Habits of Learning by acknowledging those who have recently earned Red Dragons - almost 150 Red Dragons have already been awarded this year.

TGS is a School-wide Title 1 program, enabling us to receive Federal Funds to ensure that our students receive the support they need to reach and exceed grade level goals in reading and math. We welcome parent involvement in planning, review and improvement of Title 1 programs including the family engagement policy and the schoolwide program plan. Please contact Debbie Addison at addison.2@thecharlesschool.org with any questions.
RESIDENCY VERIFICATION NOTIFICATION
Per House Bill 21 community schools are now required to perform a monthly review of student files and randomly select families for residency verification. Please be sure to contact the school immediately in case of an address change. Proof of residency must be submitted within two weeks of an address change. If evidence is not provided, requests for additional documentation or a home visit may occur.
