Happy Holidays!
I just want to take this moment and wish everyone Peace and Happiness this holiday season. Break is just a few days away, and you can FEEL the excitement at school. (Students and Staff!) I hope that the few days we have off for break are filled with rest and relaxation for everyone.
January will bring us a new year and new start. Students in all grade levels will be looking at their growth, and will be setting goals to achieve by the end of the school year.
I have attached below a document that goes through the questions and suggestions from parents on the School Partnership survey. It answers and gives answers to many of the topics brought up. I do want there to be open communication, and although I cannot make everyone happy in the decisions being made, we do consider everyone's input.
News to share....
New Kentucky Immunization Requirements- Effective July 1st, 2018 ALL students in kindergarten through twelfth grade must show proof of having received 2 doses of Hepatitis A vaccine to attend school. I have attached the letter from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services regarding this information. It is in both English and Spanish.
Career Exploration- We have scheduled a variety of speakers to come in and share their craft with our students (k-5th). We want to begin introducing students to a variety of careers to stimulate career thinking. We have received good feedback from the students and are beginning to receive requests for speakers. So for this year we have had:
Charity Helinka, YouTuber and Customer Enablement Training Manager for Blackline
Tylor Lasley, Information Security for Fifth Third Bank
Kelli Steidle, Lampke Court Reporting
Jennifer Brucato, St. Elizabeth Nurse
Josh Anderson, Florence Freedom Ballpark Rep
Theresa Brumer, NKU School of Dance Arts
Matt Jennings, Xavier University Head Strength Coach
Karen Kanter, Xavier University Basketball Player
Dental Hygienist from Dr. Jefferies’ office
Tiger Dad's Event- Attached is a flyer about an event that our Dad's are organizing with Ryle Basketball! It's a wonderful event with students that supports our community as well!
