5th Grade Field Trip

Today your child is bringing home a letter about our upcoming 5th grade field trip to 'the K' for the RSVP-Royals Scholastic Victory Program. On Tuesday, April 15th we will be traveling to Kauffman Stadium.

The Royals Scholastic Victory Program “hits a home run” with students with a unique learning experience in the Royals Hall of Fame at Kauffman Stadium. The Royals Scholastic Victory Program combines the game of baseball with school curriculum and hands-on activities. This trip correlates with our fifth grade learning goals and reporting topics.

Please return the attached permission slip and your money no later than Thursday, March 13th. Students are not allowed to attend this field trip without the signed permission slip.

PTA will use the proceeds to fund next year's teacher grants for classroom supplies, classroom field trips and cultural arts assemblies!

All pledge sheets and donations must be turned in by Monday, March 10th. Remember that any amount you can give will be appreciated. If you have any questions, please email linecreekelempta@gmail.com.

Levy Would Benefit FLiP and Safety

A question on the April 8 ballot will ask voters for authorization to increase the levy by 32 cents to fund the Future Learner Project and safety improvements. The Board has the opportunity to only take half of that amount from 2014-2016, because the district will not need the full amount right away. The Board has a history of only taking what we need and no more. Park Hill’s levy is lower than most other districts in the area, ranking 11 out of 12.

Levy Answers and Resources:
The levy page on the district website has a one-page fact sheet as well as more in-depth documents with answers to frequently asked questions and data about the levy, FLiP and safety.

If you want quick answers to your questions about the levy on the April 8 ballot, watch the video below that summarizes the levy question and the projects it would fund.
