Christmas in the CCC Library
Christmas and Holiday books were on display this month. Students got a chance to check out many popular holiday titles including "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", "Clifford's Christmas", "The Legend of the Candy Cane", "Christmas Trolls". After checking out books, some students were able to color Christmas coloring pages or Holiday bookmarks. Take a look at some of their coloring and the library holiday displays.
Merry Christmas and Happy New 2019 Year!
New Books in the CCC Library!
Thanks to the Kiwanis of Lincoln donation and the library budget I was able to purchase new books for our library! We got a brand new set of "Diary of a Wimpy Kid", "Dork Diaries", and "Dog Man"- all very popular and frequently requested by students. I also got new "Magic Tree House", "I survived", "The Notebook of Doom", "Wings of Fire", Lego books, and more. Each class was able to check out from the new arrivals section. Below are few pictures of new books.

Six Flags Read to Succeed Program
Our School is participating in Six Flags Read to Succeed Program. Here's how it works:
- students read books, magazines, comic books, newspapers for a minimum of 6 hours. Reading for homework or class assignment doesn't count.
- They keep track of what they read and for how long on a reading log. Teacher or parent must initial every time they read. I can initial when they read in the library, as well. I have reading logs available in my library and some teachers also distributed reading logs in their classrooms.
- Once the students complete 6 hours of reading for fun, they need to turn their reading logs either to me or to their teacher by February 25th, 2019.
- I will enter their information and in May they will receive a ticket to Six Flags Animal Kingdom.
This is just basic information. For more detailed information about the program click below:
