God is Faithful to His Covenant
This Wednesday night we will not be having youth group, but have no fear we are almost through the book of Genesis!!!!!!! You thought it was going to be impossible and yet here we are. Come along and join the church in the annual Bingo Night!!!!!!!!!
Next Wednesday night we will conclude our journey through the book of Genesis as we take a look at how God is faithful to the covenants he has made. We will continue to look into the life of Joseph as God fulfills his promise to be with him and to bless the world through his dysfunctional yet amazing family!!!! The key takeaway is that Joseph remained faithful because he trusted God's faithfulness towards him. For those who would like to read ahead, our passages will be Genesis 41:46-57; 45:1-15; 50:15-21.
Sunday Night Series - Set Apart
This Sunday night is the beginning of a new Sunday Night series called Set Apart. Over the next four weeks, we will look at how God, through Christ, has called us to be different from the world around us. For those who would like to read ahead, our passages are Leviticus 20:26 and 1 Peter 1:15-16.
The Collision of Easter and April Fools' Day
I read an article this week about Ester and April Fools' being on the same day. The author notes the ironic nature of this in that often times the world will label Christians as those who believe in fairytales or those who are foolish.
I have experienced this throughout the years. And truth be told, the Gospel is foolish to those who are unable to understand the truth it contains. If Jesus did not actually rise from death then our beliefs are foolish and if we have placed our hope and our future in a lie then we are crazy. But.....the truth is that Jesus did rise from death and our faith is placed in the true Author of life. May you and I both be foolish in theses of the world this Easter!!!!!!!
