Nassau County School District continues to have positive events occurring on our campuses. Take a look at some of the things that have happened recently.

Revealing Magical Learning

At Wildlight Elementary, Ms. Wells had her 4th-grade students exploring chemical reactions. through a magic ink science lesson. Students created and revealed secret messages to form their understanding of the science concept.

Warrior Game of the Week

The Band and Cheer teams encourage the players during the Game of the Week at West Nassau High School.

ESE Achievements

Congratulations to our Students with Disabilities that scored at Level 3 and above in grades 3rd-10th! Their increase in achievement made Nassau County School District First Place in the overall state ranking for Students with Disabilities at Level 3 and above. Callahan Community

Kindergarten students at Callahan Elementary School have spent some time learning about different kinds of community helpers. On Friday, September 20th, students participated in Community Helper Day. The Callahan Fire Department, Sheriff's Office, Forestry, UPS, Winn Dixie, Waste Management, & FPL all participated in this exciting event. Thank you for helping our students connect with their community!

Community Outreach for Childhood Cancer Awareness

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Mrs. Carr's and Mrs. Albury's students at Yulee Elementary School spent time during Social Studies to design and create cards for the children at Wolfson's Children's Hospital.

Addy's Army

Southside Elementary School's students in Mrs. Martin's Kindergarten class were supporting Addy before her trip to Philadelphia for her CAR-T procedure. They all wore gold/yellow, the color for Childhood Cancer Awareness.

Donuts with Dads

Bryceville Elementary School hosted a Donuts with Dads event on "Bring Your Dad To School Day." Many Dads came to spend time with their Bryceville Bobcat. The food truck was available and everyone had a great time!

Marching Pirates Visit Li'l Pirates

The Mighty Marching Pirates, from Fernandina Beach High School, performed at Southside Elementary's pep rally in September. The Li'l Pirates enjoyed the music and presentation by the Mighty Marching Pirates!
