Peek at the Week
Mrs. Bennett's News, Week 18, January 8-12, 2018
A Note From the Teacher
We will kick the new year off by learning about the calendar year vs. the school year and set goals for 2018. We will also begin an author study on Jan Brett with many interactive literacy activities that we will continue throughout the week. We will be writing small moment stories by using mentor authors and learn all about the characters in our books. In math, will will learn how to tell time to the hour and half hour and review the first semester skills. In science, we will begin a new inquiry unit on seasons and weather. It is going to be a great semester! I will be busy preparing your child for the transition to 2nd grade.
