THS Good News! #Turner202Strong
Writing the narrative: Sharing the good!
Week of October 12, 2015
Watched, quite loudly, the pivotal game 4, 7th/8th inning of ALDS in the tech office with Daniel Lee after school...and with Stacey Darpell's 'magic' cookies. I was supposed to be out the door at 3:00 to see my daughter on Fall Break from college BUT once the Royals started scoring in that magical inning, no one was allowed to leave the room because YA KNOW we might break the 'magic' going on. We stayed and the Royals won. :-) Those magic cookies--Stacey has been making them ever since Game 4!

Mrs. Thompson's kids will make posters using www.CANVA.com! This is a tool any teacher and kid can use to create awesome digital posters or simply images for social media/sharing. Canva is one of my top tools.

Learned about ASL, signed English, and the ASL alphabet from CJ Jambrosic.
She explained to me the difference between ASL and signed English and answered all my questions. Great to learn from you, CJ!
Met with Julie Leach and Brandon Gillette from KCK...

Fall colors are beginning to show!
Great time talking to teachers at Journey and learning about the QUEST program housed in JSOC!
Light Writing w/ Stacey Darpel was so fun!
It was like writing with Sparklers on the 4th of July but you can capture what you wrote out in front of you! Learned about photo settings, how it works, and saw it in action. Thanks Stacey for this lesson and letting me experience this. This lesson has student choice, creativity, application built into it.
