Hello Padilla Polar Bears! We are so excited to welcome you and your child or children to the 2022-2023 school year at Padilla Elementary School!


I wanted to get some important information to you before the beginning of the school year. Please be sure to check out the information below!

  • Back-to-School Night - Tuesday, August 9th from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
  • First Day of School Kindergarten through 5th Grade - Thursday, August 11th
  • First Day of Preschool - Wednesday, August 24th
Important Dates!

Class Lists Released

Class lists for students will be released on Infinite Campus on Monday, August 8th! If you'd like to know your child's teacher for this upcoming school year, this will be the fastest way to find out!


If you do not have an Infinite Campus account set up, please email Yuliana Perez at yperez@sd27j.net to get the access information!


Class lists will also be posted at Back-to-School night!

Back-to-School Night

Back-to-School Night will be from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM on Tuesday, August 9th!


This is an open house style event, so you may come to visit the school at any point during that timeframe!


Students and families are strongly encouraged to bring school supplies with them during Back-to-School Night to be dropped off at their classroom!

First Day of School Kindergarten through 5th Grade

The first day of school for students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade will be on Thursday, August 11th!


School begins at 7:50 AM and students may be dropped off at school no earlier than 7:30 AM. School ends at 3:30 PM.


On the first day of school, students will meet their teachers outside the front of the school!

First Day of Preschool

The first day of school for all students in preschool will be Wednesday August 24th! Your child's teacher will reach out to you with more specifics about that when we get closer to that date!

Summer Office Hours

The main office at Padilla is open Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM through August 5th.


Beginning August 9th, the main office will begin normal school office hours from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

School Supply Lists

Your child's school supply list can be found here!

School Meals and Free/Reduced Meal Applications

Last year all students were able to eat breakfast and lunch for free thanks to a waiver from the USDA waivers. Unfortunately those waivers are expiring. But many students are still eligible for free or reduced cost meals! Applications for free/reduced meals can be found here! Even if you've previously applied, new applications are required each year, so please make sure to fill out an application!

2022-2023 School Year Plans

Have your plans for the 2022-2023 school year changed? If so, please let us know as soon as possible! If you're receiving this message, it is because your child is enrolled at Padilla. If your child will be attending somewhere else, please let us know!


If you know anyone who should have received this message because they are planning on attending Padilla this year, but did not receive it, please have them reach out to Yuliana Perez at yperez@sd27j.net!

Dress Code

Padilla Elementary School follows the 27J Schools Dress Code. You can find that dress code here. Uniforms are not required at Padilla Elementary School!
