Welcome Back to School!

The students entered the building excited and ready for a terrific school year!

Paperwork, paperwork, & MORE paperwork!

Well the students might not be coming home with homework on the first day of school, but you certainly have some! Please be mindful of the important papers being sent home today. You'll notice I've eliminated many of the papers so the school could be more "eco-friendly." You'll be able to access the paperwork via our website.

Please take the time to update your Parent Portal account.

100% JET

Information about our annual fundraiser will be sent home with your child this week. I've also attached the letter to our website. (http://www.cbsd.org/Domain/16)
Donations can be made at any time during the school year but the HSA would appreciate them sooner rather than later. Information will be at all Back To School Nights as well.

Before and After Care

If you require childcare before 8:15 AM or after dismissal, school-age childcare is available through the school district for Jamison students through our own Community Before and After School Programs which are housed in our school's multi-purpose room. These services are available from 7:00-8:20 AM and 3:20- 6:00 PM each school day. Information packets with registration forms are available online, where you can instantly access the registration materials.

Car Rider...Kiss-N-Drop

Please be aware that the school day begins at 8:35 AM in the classroom. It is my recommendation that children are dropped off no later than 8:30 AM in order to get to their classrooms for the start of the school day at 8:35 AM. If a student arrives in their classroom beyond 8:35 AM they are considered tardy. The adults supervising the car-rider drop-off line will be on duty until 8:35 AM. Students dropped off after 8:35 AM will more than likely not be able to make it to their classrooms on time for the start of the school day at 8:35 AM.

Also, for safety reasons, students arriving to school prior to 8:15 AM, need to be supervised by their parent/caregiver. We ask that they wait with their family member in a parking space until 8:15 AM.

Changing Dismissal?

If it is necessary to change your normal pick-up routine at the end of the day, i.e., a different adult, bus rather than car, car rather than bus, a change in child care arrangements, etc., a written note must be presented to the classroom teacher, who will share the information with the office. In addition, please call the office directly to make sure they are aware of the change.

Any phone calls regarding a change in end-of-day plans must be directed to the office before 2:30 PM...(267 893-3500, dial zero for the office). We cannot guarantee the teachers will check their messages during the instructional day.

9/11 Heroes Run

It's not too late to register for the 9/11 Heroes Run! The 5K and 1 mile race is set for September 27th this year at the Fonthill Museum with a great course through beautiful Doylestown Borough. Please join Central Bucks School District as they support this very worthy event. Registration is simple and easy, and students, families, and friends can register as a team and compete together. Each team can manage their runners and their team from their very own "page." Just visit their site for additional information.

Food Allergies...

As in years past, many Jamison classrooms have students with severe peanut/nut allergies and those classrooms will be identified as peanut/nut safe classrooms. If your child is in such a classroom, please visit our school website for specific information. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our certified school nurse, Mrs. Canales at 267.893.3500.

Interested in Volunteering?

If you are interested in volunteering at Jamison, please go to directly our school website and click on "Jamison Volunteer Survey." Complete the survey and our volunteer committee will be in touch! http://www.cbsd.org/Domain/16
