Grade 5 Disco Concert!
Last week, May 14th would have been the grade 5 disco concert. Look for their lesson in Seesaw this week with their songs and words. Gather the family, call the grandparents, and make it a family disco event! If they are too shy to sing for you, maybe you can all join in! Thank you for your support of the fifth grade concert.
Enjoy!

Student Supply Pick Up
As you know, our Gayman Elementary School teachers are in their classrooms this week packing up student supplies. Their goal is to collect and bag all personal student items. During the week of May 25th, you will invited to drive by Gayman to pick up these materials. The pick up day and time will be determined by your child's last name. Please note: we will not be collecting any school materials. All library books, instruments, etc. should remain at home. More information about the pick up process will be sent in an email later this week. Thank you!

2020-2021 Specials Assignments
It is hard to believe that in just over four weeks, it will be the end of the 2019-2020 school year. We understand that distance learning has brought multiple challenges for families.
This is just a reminder that your child’s special subjects are mandatory. Specialists' lessons are located in the app, Seesaw. If your child has not participated, they will receive blanks in their progress report, along with a comment stating that they did not send in any work to the specialist during the distance learning time period.
We understand that some families have done the best they could and possibly not focus on specials. We just want to make sure there are no surprises when your child receives their progress report in June.
If you need assistance, or have questions about your child's work, please feel free to reach out to the specialists directly.
Thank you!
Boomerang Award: Personal Power
Does your child demonstrate good decision making? Does he/she take control, problem solve, and make a plan? Then, nominate your child for this month's Boomerang Youth Recognition Award!

CBSD Farmers Market
The CBSD Farmers Market is open! A week after the start of the COVID-19 crisis, we began distributing food every week on Wednesdays at 4:00 at Barclay Elementary School. We believe that in a community as well resourced as ours, no child should ever be hungry. If you find yourself in need, please stop by.
If you find yourself in a position of giving, consider supporting this initiative. Please help us share food with families and children throughout the Central Bucks School District during this crisis! Click HERE to support our Go Fund Me. Thank you for your generosity!
CB Cares and CBSD Present an Online Parent Positive Event - Watch On-Demand May 15-May 29
Access the event ON-DEMAND at:

With COVID-19 giving many of us downtime at home with our families, we invite the Central Bucks community to take this opportunity to watch SCREENAGERS NEXT CHAPTER: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience. Filmmaker and physician Dr. Delaney Ruston takes the conversation around screens and teens to the next level with Screenagers Next Chapter—a film that examines the science behind teen’s emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and most importantly, what can be done in our schools and homes to help them build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age.
We witness Delaney as she finds her way from ineffective parenting to much-improved strategies. We follow other personal stories of families from an array of backgrounds with a spectrum of emotional challenges. We also observe approaches in schools that provide strategies relevant beyond the classroom setting. Interwoven into the stories are surprising insights from brain researchers, psychologists, and thought leaders that reveal evidence-based ways to support mental wellness among our youth. The impact of social media and other screen time is incorporated in all the topics raised in Screenagers NEXT CHAPTER, how it may be impacting our teens’ mental health, and what we can do to help foster youth in the face of struggles
